Hello, as you may already know my name is Rick (I get called others also) a Stockport based portrait and event photographer, I love shooting Photographing portraits of people either in studio, at events or on location; children, family, models, corporate portraits what ever… I enjoy working with people, getting to know them and capturing the real them.
I love photography, the gear, lighting all that good stuff… but don’t worry I’m not going to go in to what camera and gear I use here - ok so my blog may do ;) , the fact is it would probably bore you to death and ultimately it does not matter! All that matters is what I can make it do for me and the final image we (yes we) make. I sometimes may get on my soapbox about photography so just don’t get me started.
The work I do is mostly in camera, I’m a bit fussy like that. I would rather get it right on location/in-studio instead of spending hours looking at a computer screen and photoshop.
Recently I have enjoyed helping others within the photography community, be it at local photographic events or online with tutorials or via www.newtophoto.com. Why? Well it’s just good to give back to an awesome community. I’m constantly learning from the people I meet and this community my self as well.
